Up to RN 8 + On-site accommodation - on-call rates are 10% of shift rate


On-call allowance is 10% of the shift rate
No overtime rates unless called in during on-call.
Overtime rates are based on the shift rate:
Monday to Saturday at 1.5 times shift rate
Sunday at 2 times shift rate.
Contractor is eligible for paid rest relief paid at base rate, if you do not have at least nine (9) consecutive hours off duty between
scheduled shifts
Up to $80 base + penalties + in-charge + on-call 10% and fantastic overtime rates !!

3 experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurses
for contracts at a Level 2 hospital in a remote Indigenous community in the Gulf region of North-West Queensland.
This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable remote nursing experience, work within a supportive team and make a meaningful contribution to a community of approximately 1,600 people.

Accommodation available, subject to confirmation

Daily flights available from Mount Isa
Flights may also be available from Cairns, subject to schedules
The Facility
Level 2 remote hospital
Four-bed inpatient unit
Attached Emergency Department
Paper-based clinical documentation system
Supportive team with a mix of permanent and agency nursing staff
About You
You will be an experienced Emergency Department RN who is adaptable, clinically confident and comfortable working in a remote environment.
You will ideally have:
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
Recent Emergency Department experience
Strong acute assessment and triage skills
Current ALS and emergency nursing competencies
Ability to work confidently and autonomously
Rural, remote or Indigenous health experience highly regarded
Flexibility and a collaborative approach
Ability to meet Queensland Health and North West Hospital and Health Service compliance requirements

2-4 manager references / senior staff that are within the last year with their contact email address and place of work,
Please remember contract extensions happen but are hard to get, always preferable to be able to commit to as long as you can!
