The Role
As a Collections Specialist you'll work closely with customers to manage outstanding accounts, set up payment solutions and provide support during financial difficulty.
This is not a traditional "hard collections" role - it's about working with customers to find the right outcome, in an essential service industry where empathy and compliance are key.
Managing a mix of inbound and outbound collections callsSetting up payment plans and taking paymentsExplaining assistance programs and available support optionsHandling a variety of accounts - from small balances to large debtsNavigating compliance requirements and regulated processesMaintaining accurate notes and customer recordsIdentifying issues and escalating where required
What we're looking for




Previous collections experience (minimum 6 months required)Strong communication skills with a confident and professional phone mannerAbility to handle sensitive conversations with empathy and careStrong written skills for notes and customer communicationAttention to detail and ability to follow structured processesCommercial awareness and ability to prioritise accounts effectivelyA proactive mindset - able to think, ask questions and suggest solutionsEnergy industry experience is desirable, not essential - full training provided
Shifts & Salary
$65,000 - $75,000 + Super (depending on experience)Monday-Friday rotating roster between 7:30am - 6:00pm to support customers across Australia37.5 hours per week.
