Fulton Hogan is recruiting a Senior Contracts Administrator in its Richmond office in Victoria, working with the Regional Commercial Manager and the project delivery teams across several projects at once.
The advert makes the holder the point of contact for contractual matters on those projects.
The subcontract work runs end to end.
The holder works with engineers to assess tenders, prepares and negotiates the subcontract, and then supports the resolution of variations, extensions of time and claims during delivery.
Contract performance and compliance are monitored so that projects are delivered in line with the contract and with company requirements.
Head contract administration is supported from the post, and the holder is asked to strategise commercial risk mitigations and give practical commercial advice to delivery teams.
Contract negotiations,



claims management and dispute resolution are named among the duties, as is the wider aim of raising commercial awareness in the project teams.
The employer asks for a tertiary qualification in law, engineering, quantity surveying, construction management, finance or business, and at least four years as a contracts administrator, including two at senior level in a construction environment.
It also asks for a solid grasp of contractual terms, risk management and compliance, and the confidence to negotiate with subcontractors.
