Astute Recruitment are working with an established business in Tamworth to recruit a Credit Controller on a temporary basis until the end of the year, with the potential for the position to be extended.The Role Will Involve:Proactively chasing outstanding payments, predominantly over the telephoneRegularly speaking with customers regarding overdue invoices and payment datesFollowing up outstanding debt via telephone and emailSupporting with day-to-day sales ledger dutiesAllocating and processing customer paymentsSending statements and copy invoices when requiredResponding to customer account and invoice queriesMaintaining accurate and up-to-date customer account informationCarrying out general finance administrationSupporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties as requiredThe Ideal Candidate:Previous experience within Credit Control, Sales Ledger,



Accounts Receivable or a similar finance roleConfident and comfortable picking up the phone and proactively chasing outstanding paymentsStrong communication skills and a skilled telephone mannerHappy working within a hands‐on, transactional finance positionGood attention to detail and accuracyProactive approach and able to get stuck into the role from day oneComfortable carrying out a mixture of Credit Control, Sales Ledger and general administrative dutiesTeam player who is happy to support wherever needed within the finance departmentBenefits & Hours:Temporary position until the end of the year with potential for extensionSalary: £26,000Full-time – 39 hours per weekPart‐time hours available – minimum 25 hours per weekEarly finish on Fridays25 days holiday plus bank holidays
