Kate Owen Gallery, a multiple award-winning commercial gallery specialising in contemporary Aboriginal art in Rozelle, Sydney, is seeking a physically strong, hands‐on worker to join the team as an Artwork Stretcher (also described as Art Gallery Framer).
The role is casual, 1-2 days per week (Tuesdays and Wednesdays), offering $35-$40 per hour inclusive of casual loading plus superannuation.
Responsibilities include building timber frames, stretching artworks, preparing pieces for clients and exhibitions, and operating a mitre saw and nail gun.
The gallery will provide on‐site training, but candidates must have positive spoken English, a can‐do attitude, and permanent legal rights to work in Australia.
