Ref: ****** PHO Locum Prospect - Southern Queensland Regional Hospital Outback QLD This hospital has 24 beds and provides 24 hour acute and emergency care, including maternity and theatre services.
Community and Allied Health Services are available including: cardiology clinic, alcohol and drugs, child development, diabetes education, dental, mental health, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech pathology, Antenatal clinics are provided.
With a population of around 3,500 it is the base for the Royal Flying Doctor Service and the School of Distance Education.
The town is also home to a Cosmos Centre, which houses an observatory perfect for viewing the Milky Way Galaxy.
