The Opportunity Thiess is seeking experienced and motivated Senior Surveyor to join our high-performing team at Jakarta Head office.
As the Senior Surveyor, you will: Provide bench compliance support to our Global projects.
This role has two main focus areas which are haul road compliance and EOM surface and volume compliance.
This support will be available to all global projects.
Develop and review TMS survey operational and technical guidelines for tasks undertaken.
Perform timely EOM surface and volumetric audits to ensure compliance to contract and claims.
Analise haul roads to site and company specificalities and communicate results.
Identify possible errors in EOM surfaces and volumes with a focus on projects that have survey services supplied by the client.
Manage the results of the analysis to be reported clearly and accurately to projects and closely working with GIS team to display results.




Maintain appropriate documentation to assist in monthly reconciliation of cost expenditure.
Manage cost expenditure (travel expense etc.) so it is fair and reasonable and in line with company policy.
Understand business financial processes and performance.
About you Tertiary qualification in Surveying or equivalent.
Extensive experience in a Mine Surveying environment.
Experience working at a large-scale open cut operation.
Experience in analysis of surfaces and reporting compliance and volumetric results.
Supervisory experience.
Understanding of mining principles, design concepts and operations (particularly their relation to survey activities).
Proficient in Vulcan/Points Studio/Deswik.
Proficient in photogrammetry software and techniques.
Proficient in MS Office.
An ability to link the technical outcomes to financial results.
Knowledge of mine operation regulatory and legislative requirements.
