Family Health Care Ooralea is seeking a caring, proactive and motivated Practice Nurse to join the team on a casual basis, with the potential for part-time hours in the future for the right person.
This is an opportunity to bring your clinical skills into a supportive General Practice environment where you can build meaningful relationships with patients and contribute to their ongoing care.
You'll join an experienced nursing and administration team within a purpose-built health complex, supported by a broader multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
About the role
As a Practice Nurse, you will support the delivery of high-quality patient care across a broad range of General Practice services.
Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting GPs with patient care and clinical procedures
Immunisations and preventative healthcare
Chronic disease management
Wound care and minor procedures
Health assessments and health promotion
Supporting a fully functional treatment room
Assisting with nurse-led clinics and other clinical initiatives
Providing patient education and support
Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and infection control standards
Contributing to a positive and efficient patient experience
The role offers variation across the day, with opportunities to develop your clinical skills and broaden your experience within General Practice.
About you
We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse who brings a positive, patient-focused approach to their work.




You will ideally have:
Current AHPRA registration as an EN or RN
Full working rights in Australia
A warm, professional and empathetic approach to patient care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
A proactive approach and willingness to learn
Good organisation and attention to detail
The ability to work confidently in a busy clinical environment
Previous General Practice experience is desirable, as is experience with immunisations, chronic disease management or wound care.
However, nurses looking to transition into General Practice will also be considered, with support available to develop your skills.
