I'm working closely with an established commercial builder operating within the mid-tier construction market. The business has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality, technically demanding fit-out projects across both the private and public sectors.

With long-standing relationships spanning more than a decade with clients, consultants, designers and subcontractors across multiple states, this is a business that has grown through the quality of its work and the relationships it has maintained.

They are now progressing towards the upper end of the construction market, securing increasingly complex and high-profile projects for major national brands and organisations.

The Opportunity
The business is looking to appoint a Project Manager in the earlier stages of their career, someone who has developed a sound understanding of construction and is now looking to take the next step with an established and successful builder.

This isn't a role for someone who believes they have learnt everything there is to know. They are looking for an individual who is ambitious, technically capable and genuinely interested in becoming a better builder.

You'll have the chance to manage high-specification commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across a variety of sectors, working on projects where the detail, finish and quality of construction are paramount.

These are not straightforward fit-outs. The business delivers technically challenging projects that require sound construction knowledge, careful planning, strong subcontractor management and an appreciation for quality workmanship.





You'll work alongside experienced construction professionals who will support your development, whilst giving you the responsibility and autonomy to grow into a more accomplished Project Manager.

About You

- Degree qualified in Construction Management, Building, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Previous experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager working for a principal contractor (ideal)
- Experience delivering commercial fit-out, refurbishment or technically detailed construction projects.
- A strong understanding of construction methodology, sequencing, subcontractor coordination and project delivery.
- Someone who takes pride in the finished product and understands what is required to deliver work to an exceptional standard.
- Ambitious, personable and keen to continue learning rather than simply moving from one project to the next.
- Candidates who have progressed from a trade background, particularly carpentry, into project management are highly regarded.
