AI Test Automation Engineer | GenAI & Agentic Testing

We are looking for an experienced AI Test Automation Engineer who can leverage Generative AI, automation and agentic technologies to improve software testing efficiency, quality and delivery.

About the Role
This role focuses on applying Generative AI and agentic AI capabilities across the software testing lifecycle, moving beyond traditional test automation to create intelligent, scalable and efficient quality engineering solutions.
You will work with engineering, data and delivery teams to implement AI-assisted testing approaches, automate repetitive activities and improve test coverage, defect identification and release confidence.

We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate practical, hands-on experience using AI tools to deliver measurable testing improvements, rather than simply using AI for basic productivity tasks.

Key Responsibilities

- AI-Driven Test Design: Leverage AI tools to define test scenarios, test cases, conditions and acceptance criteria based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Synthetic Test Data: Use Generative AI to create realistic synthetic datasets covering positive, negative, boundary and edge-case scenarios.
- Intelligent Test Automation: Design, develop and optimise automated testing solutions using AI-assisted code generation and execution.
- Agentic AI Testing: Build and implement AI agents capable of autonomously performing testing activities,



analysing results and identifying defects.
- Defect Analysis & Troubleshooting: Apply AI tools to investigate defects, analyse logs, identify root causes and accelerate resolution.
- Code Analysis & Impact Assessment: Use AI-assisted code analysis to understand requirements, identify dependencies and assess the testing impact of code changes.
- Environment Automation: Support the creation, configuration and management of test environments using AI-assisted automation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to reduce manual testing effort, improve test coverage and accelerate delivery through AI-driven quality engineering.

Essential Skills & Experience
Hands-on experience with AI tools, particularly:

- Databricks Genie: Experience leveraging natural-language data exploration, querying and validation to support data testing and quality assurance.
- GitHub Copilot: Practical experience using AI-assisted coding to develop test scripts, automate testing activities, analyse code and troubleshoot defects.
- AWS Bedrock: Experience building or integrating Generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered testing workflows and agentic automation.
- Claude: Experience using Claude for requirements analysis,



test-case generation, code analysis, defect investigation and testing optimisation.

Technical & Testing Experience

- Strong background in software testing, quality engineering or test automation.
- Experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and solutions.
- Understanding of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering and AI agents.
- Experience using AI to generate test cases, synthetic data and automated test scripts.
- Ability to analyse application code, technical requirements and system dependencies.
- Experience with API testing, integration testing, data validation or end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and contemporary software development practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
