Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join its Prestons manufacturing team.

Working in a contemporary, well-maintained facility, you’ll play a key role in keeping production equipment running efficiently, reducing downtime and improving reliability.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and fault finding on production machinery.




- Maintain and troubleshoot injection moulding equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
- Assist with maintenance procedures and provide guidance to apprentices.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality and continuous improvement.

About You
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical or equivalent.
- Proven mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with preventative maintenance programs and equipment optimisation.
- Plastics or electrical manufacturing experience highly regarded.
- Basic fabrication and machining skills advantageous.
