Milestone IT is partnering with a large retail organisation seeking an experienced Business Analyst on an initial 6-month contract with a robust interest in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support exciting technology initiatives and business transformation projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Business Analyst who can bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, identify opportunities to improve processes, and help explore how AI can deliver practical business value.

The Role

Working closely with business stakeholders, technology teams and project leaders, you will gather requirements, analyse business processes and translate business needs into clear, actionable solutions. You will help identify opportunities to leverage AI, assess business needs and support the delivery of innovative technology solutions that improve efficiency and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges and objectives.
- Gather, document and validate business and functional requirements.
- Analyse existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
- Explore and assess opportunities to leverage AI to solve business problems and improve operational efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into clear documentation, process maps and user stories.




- Work collaboratively with technical teams to define and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Support solution evaluation, testing, implementation and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives and deliver measurable value.

Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within complex business or technology environments.
- Experience working with AI-related initiatives, solutions or projects, with an understanding of how AI can be applied to business processes.
- Strong requirements gathering, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with process mapping, business process improvement and identifying automation opportunities.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into clear requirements for technical teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience within retail or a large enterprise environment will be highly regarded.
