- Lead Procurement Transformation Initiatives

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Team Lead to join a high-profile transformation program for an initial 3-6 month contract based in Sydney CBD.

This is a business-focused procurement leadership role, ideally suited to someone with a solid background in procurement, sourcing, supplier management, and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes. Experience working as an SAP user within enterprise environments is highly desirable, however this is not a technical SAP configuration role.

You will lead procurement initiatives, drive process improvements, and work closely with business stakeholders to support procurement transformation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead procurement transformation and process improvement initiatives
- Manage and mentor procurement team members
- Drive sourcing, purchasing, contract management, and supplier engagement activities
- Work closely with business stakeholders to identify procurement opportunities and deliver value
- Support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process optimisation




- Ensure procurement activities align with governance, compliance, and risk requirements
- Manage supplier performance and vendor relationships
- Lead workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions
- Provide procurement expertise and best-practice recommendations
- Support project delivery, change management, and business readiness activities

Skills & Experience

- Proven experience in a Procurement Lead, Procurement Manager, Category Manager, or Procurement Team Lead role
- Strong end-to-end procurement and sourcing experience
- Experience leading procurement transformation, process improvement, or change initiatives
- Strong supplier relationship and vendor management capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience working within large enterprise environments
- Understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes
- Experience using SAP, SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, or similar ERP platforms as a business user
- Ability to lead teams and influence senior stakeholders
