Allegiance Heart & Home Care is seeking a reliable and compassionate Community Support Worker to support aged care clients across Sydney and surrounding suburbs.

The successful applicant will provide person-centred support that promotes independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing in the client’s own home and community.

Key Duties

- Personal care, including assistance with showering, dressing, grooming and other daily living activities
- Social and emotional support
- Companionship and meaningful engagement
- Assistance with community access and appointments where required
- Domestic assistance, including cleaning, laundry, changing bed linen and general household tasks
- Meal preparation where required
- Supporting clients in accordance with their individual care plans
- Observing and reporting any changes in the client’s health or wellbeing
- Completing progress notes after each shift
- Following all workplace, infection control and safety procedures

Requirements

Applicants should have:

- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care or equivalent
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Valid Australian work rights
- Reliable transport
- Ability to complete electronic progress notes
- Previous aged care, home care or community support experience highly regarded
