Exciting GP Opportunities - Established Regional Medical Practice

Northbridge Healthcare is recruiting 3-4 General Practitioners for a busy, well-established and accredited medical practice in Port Augusta, South Australia, with opportunities commencing from January to March 2027.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced VR General Practitioners, International Medical Graduates (IMGs) and doctors working towards Fellowship to join a supportive, growing regional practice.

Located in a DPA / MM4 area, the practice offers a welcoming environment, established patient demand, experienced GP supervision and opportunities for long-term professional development.

About the Practice

This well-established, 100% bulk-billing medical centre provides comprehensive primary healthcare services to the Port Augusta community.

Key practice features include:

- Busy, accredited general practice with approximately 23,000 patient visits annually.
- Established and loyal patient base, with immediate patient demand.
- Five fully functioning consulting rooms, with capacity to expand to six or seven.
- In office pharmacy, pathology and dental services.
- Nursing home and residential aged care work available.
- Supportive principal GP and experienced senior medical practitioners.
- Currently operating Monday to Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm, and Saturday mornings.




- Planned expansion to extended weekend services and eventually seven-day operations as the GP team grows.

Current GP Opportunities

1. Female General Practitioner - VR or Level 3 Supervision

Commencement: February-March 2027
We are seeking a female GP to take over an established patient list from an existing doctor.

- Immediate access to an established patient base.
- VR/Fellowed GPs or suitable Level 3 supervised doctors welcome.
- Flexible working arrangements, with weekend sessions available.
- Excellent opportunity to build a long-term patient following.

2. General Practitioners - Non-VR / IMG / Supervised Doctors

2-3 Positions Available | Commencement from January 2027

We welcome applications from junior GPs, International Medical Graduates and doctors progressing towards Fellowship.

- Supervision opportunities across Levels 2 and 3, subject to eligibility and regulatory approval.
- Supervision provided by the principal GP and a second experienced senior GP.
- Suitable for doctors undertaking an eligible RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship pathway.
- Supportive environment for professional development and progression towards Fellowship.
- Opportunities to participate in general practice, chronic disease management and residential aged care services.

Remuneration & Benefits





GP Category Remuneration
VR / Fellowed General Practitioners 70% of billings
Non-VR / Supervised General Practitioners 60% of billings
Minimum Guarantee Negotiable
Relocation Assistance Available for suitable candidates
Supervision Levels 2-3, subject to approval
