Production Supervisor

Whiteheads Timber Sales is an established softwood timber sawmill based in Mount Gambier, supplying wholesale markets through four trade outlets across South Australia and Victoria. We pride ourselves on dependable service, consistent product quality and a safe workplace.

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Production Supervisor to coordinate daily manufacturing operations and support our production team.

About the role

Reporting to the Production Mill Manager, you will oversee daily production activities, organise resources and help the team meet production schedules while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Leading, coaching and supporting production employees.

· Promoting safe work practices and addressing hazards promptly.

· Coordinating labour and equipment to meet production requirements.

· Monitoring productivity, downtime, waste and product quality.

· Resolving operational issues with Maintenance, Quality and WHS teams.

· Identifying and implementing practical process improvements.

· Maintaining accurate records, reporting performance and ensuring effective shift handovers.

About you

You are a practical,



approachable leader who provides clear direction, builds teamwork and follows issues through to resolution.

You will bring:

Experience supervising or coordinating production in sawmilling, manufacturing, processing or a similar industrial environment.

· Strong people leadership and communication skills.

· A demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and product quality.

· Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

· Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and production or database systems.

· Flexibility to work additional or wide-ranging hours where reasonably required.
