We are partnering with a well-established Australian organisation seeking an experienced payroll professional to join their team during a period of payroll transformation and increased operational activity. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on payroll workplace and can quickly become a valued member of the team.

The Role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager and working alongside a supportive payroll team, you will be responsible for assisting with end-to-end payroll processing while helping the team navigate a busy period and ongoing system and process improvements.

The payroll environment is high-volume and requires an individual with the confidence and capability to work effectively within Chris21 from day one.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-end payroll processing
- Managing weekly and monthly payroll cycles
- Maintaining employee payroll records within Chris21
- Processing new starters, terminations and payroll variations
- Interpreting awards, entitlements and payroll legislation
- Payroll reconciliations and reporting
- Responding to employee payroll queries




- Supporting payroll system and process improvement initiatives
- Assisting with payroll projects and business transformation activities

About You

- Proven end-to-end payroll experience
- Strong hands-on Chris21 experience (essential)
- Ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Availability to commence immediately or at short notice
