About the Company

Waverley Forklifts is an independent Australian-owned national business with over 50 years' experience in equipment rental, servicing, sales and machinery transport.

We're opening a new branch in Townsville and looking for a qualified mechanic from almost any mechanical trade background to join our team. Previous forklift experience is not required, with training and support provided.

About the Role

Join our new Townsville branch in a varied mechanical role combining field service and workshop repairs.

You'll work alongside our Branch Manager, with the backing of our established Brisbane Service team and national support network.

Duties

Service, diagnose and repair rental and customer-owned equipment

Attend customer sites for planned servicing and breakdowns

Prepare and inspect forklifts for hire

Maintain tools, service equipment and accurate job records

Work safely to Waverley Forklifts’ quality standards

Skills & Experience

Mechanical trade qualification; light vehicle, heavy diesel, mobile plant, motorcycle and other mechanical trades welcome

Strong diagnostics and mechanical problem-solving skills





Own hand tools required; all specialist tooling and equipment provided

Willingness to learn new equipment and develop your technical skills
