Role Description

The Building Manager is a full time, on-site role based in the Greater Sydney Area, responsible for the day-to-day operational management of assigned buildings. This role oversees building services, coordinates maintenance and repairs, and manages defect rectification for residential and commercial properties. The Building Manager monitors building performance, liaises with contractors and service providers, and ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and client standards. Daily activities include conducting inspections, responding to tenant and owner enquiries, managing service schedules, supporting budgeting and cost control,



and maintaining clear records and reports. The role requires regular collaboration with the broader Katalyst team to deliver consistent, high-quality facility outcomes.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated skills in Building Management and Facility Management (FM) for residential and/or commercial properties.
- Experience with Building Maintenance, including coordination of repairs, preventive maintenance, and defect management.
- Strong Communication skills to engage effectively with tenants, owners, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to support Budgeting and cost control for building operations and service contracts.
- Relevant experience in facilities, construction, or property management; formal qualifications or certifications in building or facilities management are an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to building operations.
- Proficiency in basic computer software and building management systems; ability to maintain accurate documentation and reports.
- Organized, proactive, and able to work independently on-site while managing multiple priorities.
