Key responsibilities

- Organise and control the day-to-day takeaway, online ordering and associated retail operations of the business.
- Monitor takeaway and online sales volumes and allocate staff and operational resources according to customer demand.
- Manage orders received through point-of-sale systems, telephone orders and online ordering platforms.
- Prepare staff rosters and coordinate staffing requirements according to anticipated sales volumes and business needs.
- Recruit, train, supervise and support staff involved in order processing, counter service, packing and customer service.
- Allocate duties, monitor employee performance and ensure staff comply with established operational procedures.
- Establish and maintain procedures for the accurate and efficient processing, packing and collection of takeaway and online orders.
- Determine stock requirements and manage the purchasing of food products, beverages, packaging materials and other retail supplies.
- Monitor stock levels, maintain inventory records and implement stock-control procedures to minimise shortages, excess stock and wastage.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers regarding prices, product availability,



supply arrangements and delivery schedules.

About you

- Relevant experience in a retail, hospitality or similar customer-focused business management role.
- Experience managing takeaway, online ordering, food retail or other high-volume customer-ordering operations.
- Experience preparing staff rosters and supervising, training and supporting employees.
- Demonstrated experience in purchasing, stock control and inventory management.
- Experience communicating and negotiating with suppliers.
- Ability to monitor sales revenue, operating expenses, labour costs and business performance.
- An understanding of budgeting, cost control, pricing and profit margins.
- Strong customer-service and complaint-handling skills.
- Solid organisational and time-management skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
