4-month temp role with potential to extend

$50 - $60 Per Hour + Super

This well-established global business has built a strong presence in the Australian market and continues to grow across its national operations. Backed by a major international parent company, the business offers a fast-paced and collaborative environment with robust exposure across the broader finance function.

An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join the team on an initial 4-month contract. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will support the finance function across month-end, year-end, reporting and audit. Responsibilities will include:

- Managing end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes
- Preparing journals including accruals, prepayments, provisions and depreciation
- Completing general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing month-end reporting packs and supporting schedules
- Analysing material movements and investigating variances




- Assisting with consolidation and intercompany reporting
- Supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control
- Assisting with year-end consolidated financial statements and group elimination journals
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements
- Assisting with process improvement and finance policy updates

To be successful in this role, you will have 3+ years' experience in a Financial Accountant position, ideally within a large or complex organisation. You will have solid exposure to external audit processes, group consolidations and intercompany eliminations, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. CA/CPA qualification is not essential, although candidates who are part qualified or fully qualified will be highly regarded.
