About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sales Consultant to join our team at Choices Flooring Cannon Hill in a full-time capacity. Based in Cannon Hill, QLD 4170, this role is pivotal in driving our sales growth and delivering an outstanding customer experience. As a Sales Consultant, you will be the face of our brand, engaging with customers, understanding their flooring needs, and guiding them towards the ideal solutions. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your sales expertise in a thriving retail workplace whilst working with quality products and a supportive team.

What you'll be doing

Greeting customers and conducting needs assessments to understand their flooring requirements and preferences

Providing expert product knowledge and recommendations based on customer needs, budget, and style preferences

Presenting flooring samples and demonstrating product features, durability, and benefits

Developing strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals

Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring customers have a seamless checkout experience

Maintaining an in-depth understanding of current product inventory, pricing, and promotional offerings

Assisting with visual merchandising and ensuring the showroom is presented professionally and attractively

Responding to customer enquiries via phone or email in a timely and professional manner

Collaborating with the team to achieve sales targets and contribute to a positive workplace culture

Identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities whilst maintaining customer satisfaction





Conduct on-site visits to take accurate measurements and prepare detailed flooring quotes.

Manage customer and stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication throughout each project.

Coordinate the end-to-end delivery of flooring projects, from initial consultation and quoting through to installation and final handover.

Oversee project progress, liaise with installers and suppliers, and ensure work is completed to a high standard.

Deliver an exceptional customer experience by ensuring projects run smoothly, efficiently and professionally.

What we're looking for

Proven experience in a retail or sales environment, ideally within the flooring, home improvement, or related industry

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse customers

Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions

Excellent numeracy skills and proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems

A genuine passion for products and customer service excellence

The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a rapid-paced environment

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Reliability and a qualified appearance

A valid driver's licence would be advantageous

Enthusiasm for learning about flooring products and industry trends
