OVERVIEW Australian Catholic University is seeking a Director, Global Operations to help shape acu's next phase of international engagement. This full-time, fixed-term five-year appointment is based at the North Sydney or Melbourne campus and reports to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Global. The role focuses on delivering strategic global priorities connected to Vision 2033 through leadership of international operations, partnerships, and institutional initiatives. The position brings together operational leadership and strategic oversight across education partnerships, offshore activities, transnational education, and international engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute to the university’s global ambition by supporting governance, implementation planning, and relationship development across multiple international contexts.

Key responsibilities

- Shape acu's international engagement strategy under Vision 2033
- Provide operational leadership across global initiatives
- Support governance and implementation planning activities
- Oversee risk management connected to international operations
- Lead work related to education partnerships and international partnerships
- Support offshore activities and transnational education initiatives
- Develop international relationships and markets
- Contribute to initiatives connected to the Rome campus




- Support engagement linked to the Human Flourishing Centre in Indonesia
- Report to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Global on operational and strategic matters

Requirements

- Institutional expertise relevant to international operations and engagement
- Experience supporting or delivering global initiatives
- Capability to contribute to implementation planning and governance activities
- Understanding of risk oversight in an international education workplace
- Ability to develop partnerships and international relationships
