About Hybrid:

Hybrid stands out in the media landscape with our focus on Higher Education. Our full-service agency has achieved significant growth over the last ten years, through offices in Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Kathmandu, Shanghai, Bristol and Philadelphia.

We provide world class media, creative, content and research to leading Higher Education institutions around the world. With our deep understanding of human behaviour, coupled with our media and creative knowledge, we produce customised advertising solutions to our partners.

We currently have an opportunity to join Hybrid’s Sydney office as an Account Manager, where you’ll play a pivotal role in managing the full lifecycle of your own portfolio of key client accounts. Alongside delivering solid client relationships and campaign outcomes, you’ll contribute to the retention and growth of the team’s wider client portfolio through renewal and re-engagement conversations, while also taking ownership of select new business opportunities from initial pitch through to close.

Key Responsibilities

We're looking for someone who combines strong relationship management skills with a commercial mindset. You'll be confident building relationships, identifying opportunities, pitching solutions and winning new business, while ensuring clients receive an excellent experience throughout their campaign lifecycle.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the variety and ownership of account management but is equally motivated by driving revenue, winning new business and growing existing partnerships.

- Support the new business, account management and production teams by coordinating advertising campaigns and assist in managing relationships with a select group of clients.

- Support prospects and current clients through each stage of the account management process - from winning the contract to discovery and production work, reporting calls and campaign launches through to post campaign reviews and renewal.
- Contribute towards individual and wider team revenue targets with a focus on client retention, account growth and new business acquisition.
- Regular account administration duties, including reviewing and launching campaign assets, project management across advertising campaigns, internal coordination and quality control.
- Be the first point of contact and establish strong relationships with client accounts.
- Manage reporting alongside the digital team, editorial content with the editorial team and design work through the creative team.
- Provide meaningful insights and benchmarking data to add value to client meetings.
- Develop a strong understanding of clients' marketing objectives, challenges and budgets and spot upsell or growth opportunities throughout the campaign lifecycle.
- Handle and pitch contract renewal conversations, including approaching lapsed clients.
- Attend, manage and close, new business appointments generated by the Sales Development Representative in addition to lapsed client outreach.

Requirements:

- High levels of attention to detail, organisational skills and a calm presence to deliver under pressure.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the confidence to identify opportunities,

pitch solutions and contribute to revenue growth.
- A passion for building long term relationships, understanding business challenges and identifying opportunities to deliver commercial value.
- Previous experience in a client-facing, account management or sales role and an interest in marketing, advertising and client relationships within an agency environment.
- Determination and a willingness to get stuck into any challenge.
- A solutions mindset and proactive, positive approach.
- Ability to work to deadlines and deliver reports on time.
- A highly energetic presence to engage clients and build rapport, whilst galvanising our team to deliver powerful campaigns.
- Preferred, but not required, to have a degree in marketing or a related field.
- Data analysis ability preferred, along with good presentation skills.
- Collaborative working approach.

Benefits:

- Work for a global market leader within a sector that is Australia’s second largest export
- Join an ambitious and dedicated account management and paid media agency team to deliver high impact and exciting campaigns across brand awareness and acquisition activity
- Work in an ever-changing sector that is affected by global trends, politics and policy changes, with a ‘product’ that changes lives and societies
- Huge potential for progression in line with our ambitious growth plans
- Strong company culture with an in-person team environment that is continuously growing
- Monthly contribution to your physical health or wellbeing costs (eg gym membership, art classes) and Headspace subscription
- Internal mobility options and established career paths within a global entity
- Charity fundraising challenges and volunteering days, social environment
