About the Role:

Drakes Supermarkets currently has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Accounts Services Team as an Accounts Payable Officer.

Based at our South Australian Head Office in Torrensville, this opportunity is ideal for someone looking to kick-start their career in finance or build on their existing knowledge and experience. We are seeking someone who is eager to learn, develop their skills and grow their capabilities within a supportive team environment.

Reporting to the Accounts Services Team Lead,



the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with supplier invoice processing, maintaining accurate payment records and supporting the efficient management of invoice processing through our ERP system.

We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to learn, contribute and grow within the business.

We are seeking candidates who demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- An interest in developing a career in finance or accounts, with a willingness to learn and build on existing skills and knowledge.

- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance-related role would be advantageous, however is not essential, as training and support will be provided.

- Good knowledge of accounts payable principles

- Sound knowledge of general accounting software and processes

- Excellent skills in prioritisation, organisation and time management which results in the ability to meet deadlines

- Effective verbal, written and numerical skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Effective communication skills and people skills with strong internal and external customer focus

- Confident, mature and professional attitude

- Ability to cope with changing work demands and a fast-changing environment

- Reliable, committed and trustworthy

- Competent in all Microsoft applications
