PeopleWise is partnering with a National company a growing industrial services group, to recruit an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their Shared Services team in Woodville.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys more than simply processing transactions. You'll work across multiple businesses within the group, taking ownership of invoicing and receivables and working closely with customers, operational managers and the broader finance team.

The Position:

You'll be responsible for keeping receivables moving and ensuring invoices are raised accurately, customers understand payment expectations and outstanding accounts are followed up proactively.

You'll be someone who is comfortable asking for payment and finding the answer and working with the right people to get it resolved.

Your responsibilities will include

- Managing Accounts Receivable across multiple businesses and entities
- Preparing and issuing accurate and timely customer invoices
- Proactively following up outstanding accounts and payment commitments
- Picking up the phone and building positive relationships with customers
- Investigating invoicing delays and working with operational managers to resolve them




- Managing customer queries, disputes and payment issues
- Monitoring debtor ageing and supporting strong cashflow outcomes
- Completing AR reconciliations and supporting month-end reporting
- Maintaining accurate customer and finance records
- Identifying opportunities to improve and streamline AR processes
- Working closely with Finance, Operations and the wider Shared Services team
- Providing support across AP, reconciliations and other finance activities when required

The position description also includes broader Shared Services support, including AP processing, bank/balance-sheet/GL reconciliations and maintaining customer and vendor records.

About You

We're looking for someone who owns Accounts Receivable rather than simply processes it.

Ideally, you'll bring around 4 to 5 years experience in Accounts Receivable, credit control or a similar finance position. Candidates with broader AP/AR experience are also encouraged to apply if AR is a genuine strength and you're keen to move into a predominantly receivables-focused role.

What we are looking for:

- Strong Accounts Receivable and collections experience
- Experience working in projects, trades, services or construction would be advantageous




- Experience working with Xero and project management accounts systems
- Confidence making collection calls and discussing overdue accounts
- Experience managing a debtor ledger and following accounts through to payment
- Strong invoicing and reconciliation skills
- The confidence to work with managers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong Excel skills and good numerical capability
- High attention to detail and organisation
- A proactive, persistent and solutions-focused approach

Experience within a shared services, multi-entity, industrial, trade, construction or similarly complex environment would be highly regarded. Why this position?
