Interested in building your career in health and hospital design?

We’re looking for Graduates of Architecture and Architects to join our Brisbane team and work on a major health project.

You might already have some experience in health or hospital design, or you may be looking for your first opportunity to develop specialist skills in this area. Either way, you’ll work alongside Hassell’s experienced Health and Clinical Planning team, learning how complex hospital environments are planned, designed and delivered.

For a Graduate of Architecture, we’re ideally looking for someone with around 1–2 years of professional experience who is curious about health design and keen to learn. For Architects, previous health experience would be valuable, but it isn’t essential.

As part of the project team, you’ll have the opportunity to:

- Support the planning and design of hospital departments and clinical spaces
- Develop Room Layout Sheets (RLS) and Room Data Sheets (RDS)
- Work with experienced health planners, architects and designers
- Support engagement with hospital user groups and stakeholders
- Coordinate architectural design with consultants and other disciplines
- Build your understanding of clinical planning and the way hospitals operate
- Develop your Revit and technical design skills on a large, complex project

We’d like to hear from you if you have:




- A recognised qualification in Architecture
- Around 1–2 years’ professional experience as a Graduate of Architecture, or experience working as an Architect
- A genuine interest in health, hospital or clinical design
- Good design, planning and problem-solving skills
- Some experience working as part of a project team and coordinating design information
- Revit experience and an interest in continuing to develop your capability
- Good communication and organisational skills
- An interest in learning from experienced health designers and developing specialist clinical planning skills.

Previous health or clinical planning experience is an advantage, but it isn’t essential . You’ll need to currently hold full working rights in Australia and be available to work from our Brisbane studio from October 2026.
