Overview

We are an electrical and contracting company specialising in hazardous areas and explosive atmospheres (EEHA). We are seeking a proactive, highly reliable Part-Time Casual Trade Assistant to support our workshop and operational team. This role requires a high degree of independence and an uncompromising commitment to safety.

With flexible schedule designed to shift around timetables, this position is ideally suited to a University Student (e.g., Engineering, Science, tafe etc) looking for practical exposure to industrial electrical safety and operations.Key Responsibilities

- Facility & Workshop Upkeep: Emptying workshop bins, managing industrial waste segregation, sweeping floors.
- Materials Handling & Logistics: Collecting, sorting, and moving parts, electrical components, or heavy gear around the workshop or designated storage zones.
- Inventory & Supply Management: Working independently to track consumable stock levels, compile required lists, and place orders for cleaning, workshop, or office supplies.
- Ad-Hoc Trade Support: Assisting qualified electricians with basic manual tasks, setting up tools,



or preparing materials for specialized hazardous-area projects.

Position Details
- Employment Type: Part-Time / Casual.
- Hours: Flexible roster (approx. 5–20 hours per week). We will actively work around your university lecture and exam timetable.
- Location: Neerabup
- Supervision: You will be expected to work independently, manage your own daily task checklist, and take initiative without constant oversight.

Selection Criteria & Requirements
- Current Tertiary Student: Currently enrolled in a university degree (Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field is highly regarded but not mandatory).
- Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, stay on task, and manage time efficiently.
- Physical Capability: Comfort with hands-on, physical work including lifting, sweeping, and moving materials throughout the shift.
- Australian Driver's Licence

Pay: From $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 – 20.0 per week
