About the role

Love footwear, love people, and ready for the next step in your retail career? We’re looking for a full-time Retail Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our DFO team. We sell only the world’s leading comfort performance brands, such as Birkenstock, ECCO, FRANKiE4 & On Running. Everything we stock is comfortable and fashionable, which makes it an easy sell. You’ll help oversee all aspects of store operations and make sure every customer leaves happy.

What you'll be doing

- Driving sales and profitability through great product knowledge, a positive team culture, and attentive customer engagement
- Helping lead, coach and develop a high-performing retail team
- Stepping up to lead the store and team on the days the Store Manager isn’t rostered
- Making sure the store follows company policies, procedures, and brand standards
- Digging into sales data and store performance to spot opportunities for improvement
- Liaising with head office on operational matters and helping roll out new initiatives
- Creating a welcoming in-store environment that keeps customers coming back
- Lending a hand with day-to-day store operations, including cash handling, merchandising, and loss prevention
- Quickly getting to know our constantly rotating range of sale stock
- Helping oversee the receiving, checking, and put-away of incoming stock, working with your team to keep high volumes moving accurately and efficiently

What we're looking for





- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in footwear or retail (or a keen Sales Assistant or Team Leader ready for the next step)
- A track record of contributing to sales growth and strong store performance
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commercial mindset
- Confidence using retail management software and sales data
- Experience with high-volume stock receiving and processing
- Physically able and happy to get hands-on with stock, as this is a fast-paced environment with high stock turnover
- Availability for a Sunday to Thursday roster
