Australian Military Bank is looking for a Banking Operations Officer to join our team.

In this role, you'll play an important part in supporting our day to day banking operations, ensuring transactions are processed accurately, member accounts are maintained and our branches and members receive timely support.

You'll work across a variety of banking activities, including payments processing, account administration, collections and operational reporting. You'll also have opportunities to contribute to process improvements and help us deliver better outcomes for our members.

What you'll be doing

As a Banking Operations Officer, Your Responsibilities Will Include

- Payments and transactions: Process and investigate payments, including Direct Entry, BPAY, NPP and SWIFT transactions, as well as card disputes and chargebacks.
- Account administration: Support member account maintenance, term deposits, business banking accounts and other banking transactions.
- Collections and deceased estates: Assist with collections activities,



overdue accounts and deceased estate administration in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Operational controls: Complete reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and ensure transactions are processed accurately and within required timeframes.
- Member and stakeholder support: Respond to enquiries from branches, members and internal teams, helping resolve issues and deliver positive member experiences.
- Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency and support operational projects and system improvements.

What we're looking for We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, takes pride in their accuracy and is comfortable managing a variety of tasks.

To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Bring

- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with different stakeholders.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve issues.
- A proactive approach to teamwork,



customer service and continuous improvement.
- An advanced diploma or degree in a related discipline, or equivalent qualifications.

Experience in banking operations, payments processing, account administration or reconciliations will be highly regarded.
