AI is changing how accounting firms work, and most firms are slow to catch up. We’re not one of them. We’re an up-and-coming, AI-forward chartered accounting firm in the Sydney CBD. We’re adopting the latest AI platforms across the practice, and we have plans to open more locations.

We have a steady stream of clients that keeps growing through referrals and digital marketing. We’re looking for a proactive, self-motivated Business Services Supervisor to review the work of our junior team and work as the director’s right hand. What you’ll do

- Complete and review tax returns, financial statements, BAS and other work prepared by both yourself and junior staff. You need to be technically proficient to sign off on quality before it goes to clients
- Own quality control across the firm’s jobs
- Coach the team with clear feedback so their work keeps improving
- Help manage the client portfolio
- Work closely with the director on client matters and firm decisions
- Help train new staff as we grow
- Help us use AI well and keep improving how the firm runs

What you’ll bring

- CA qualified (CPAs considered if willing to transition to CA)
- 5+ years in Australian public practice, including at least 2 years reviewing other people’s work
- Experience in a chartered accounting firm (preferred)
- Strong technical knowledge across individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships
- Self-sufficient. You can run a job from start to finish and review others’ work without needing it checked
- Proactive and self-motivated. You take ownership of your work and don’t wait to be told what to do
- Curious about AI and keen to work with new technology
- Ambition to grow with the firm into a leadership role
