Mayflower Supports is seeking a reliable, compassionate and experienced Support Worker to join our team in Broadview!

We are looking for a male Support Worker or a mature-aged female Support Worker to provide one-on-one support to an older male participant living with dementia.

We are seeking someone who is patient, respectful, dependable and confident supporting an older person with daily living needs while promoting their dignity, independence and quality of life.

About the Role

This is a casual position with weekday and weekend shifts available. Shifts are generally 5 hours long, with the following times:

- Morning shifts: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Afternoon shifts: 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Weekday and occasional weekend availability is required.

There are opportunities for ongoing shifts for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

- Providing personal care and assistance with daily living
- Supporting medication administration
- Preparing meals and assisting with household tasks
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting community access and appointments where required
- Supporting a participant living with dementia with patience and understanding
- Maintaining accurate progress notes and shift documentation
- Promoting participant choice, dignity, safety and independence

Essential Requirements




- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability or Ageing) or equivalent
- Previous experience in disability support, aged care or dementia care
- Experience with personal care
- Medication administration competency and experience
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current National Police Check
- NDIS workers oritntation module
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Valuable communication skills and a professional, compassionate approach
- Availability for weekday and weekend shifts

The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is patient, mature-minded, reliable and genuinely passionate about supporting older people. Experience supporting people living with dementia is highly regarded.
