As we continue to evolve and expand our food, coffee and convenience offer, we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Category Manager who is passionate about food, understands what customers want and is excited by the opportunity to help shape what comes next.

Working as part of our Merchandise and Marketing team, this is much more than a traditional category role. You will have the opportunity to influence our food service strategy, Pie Face and Roadhouse menus, coffee program, product innovation, pricing and promotions across a significant national retail network.

About the Role

You will drive sales and profitability and will create compelling reasons for customers to choose United, Pie Face and our Roadhouse locations.

Key responsibilities include

- Lead food service, Pie Face and Roadhouse menu innovation, developing fresh, relevant and commercially successful offers that excite both new and existing customers.
- Drive the ongoing evolution of our coffee program across United and Pie Face, including menu development, pricing, promotions and opportunities to grow the category.
- Identify new products, food trends and customer opportunities and translate them into offers that work within a quick-paced national retail environment.
- Manage proprietary SKUs and work closely with food service distribution partners on forecasting, demand planning and stock availability.
- Build strong supplier partnerships and lead product sourcing,



commercial negotiations, pricing and trading terms across your categories.
- Partner with Marketing and the wider Category team to develop engaging promotional campaigns, including in-store and app-exclusive offers.
- Use data and customer insights to make informed decisions across ranging, pricing, merchandising, planograms, promotions and category performance.
- Work closely with Master Data, POS Programming and Data Analytics teams to ensure accurate information and meaningful reporting.
- Ensure Pie Face and Roadhouse food operations meet required quality, food safety, compliance and legislative standards.

About You

Ideally, you will bring:

- Demonstrated experience as a Category Manager, Buyer or similar, ideally within food service, QSR, convenience, grocery, hospitality or a related environment.
- Experience managing food products, proprietary stock lines, forecasting and distribution.
- Exposure to coffee, food service, QSR or convenience retail will be highly regarded.
- A genuine interest in food trends, menu development, product innovation and creating offers customers want to buy.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to use data to make informed pricing, ranging, promotional and merchandising decisions.
- Proven supplier management and negotiation capability.
- Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- A hands-on approach – someone who enjoys getting into stores, understanding what is happening at site level and making things happen.
