There is an opportunity for a Civil Engineering Draftsperson / CAD Draftsperson to join MJB Industries Pty Ltd, a fast-paced Australian owned company led by passionate hands-on directors.

Operating out of Australind, Western Australia (Approximately one and a half hours south of Perth) MJB Industries travels the path of continuous improvement in all facets of the business, from product manufacture to the training of our staff.

About the Role

MJB have an chance available for a confident, collaborative, and technically minded candidate to fulfill the role of Civil Engineering Draftsperson / CAD Draftsmen. A minimum of 1 year proven experience in a similar role is required with extensive knowledge and experience using drafting and modeling software (AutoCAD 2D & 3D).

The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail, positive attitude, be willing to get hands on with a variety of projects and have excellent time management skills. They will assist in the civil engineering research, design, and construction of concrete precast products for use in structural erections, structural storage sheds, bridge, major road and highways, heavy rail & rural roads. In addition to this,



the engineering of various mechanical components including fixed plant, machines and conveyors will also be required.

Must reside in the South West region.

Tasks include

· Prepare sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and designs for civil engineering works such as drainage, water supply, sewerage reticulation systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges, and other structures.

· Produce technical lifting solutions for precast concrete products.

· On occasion direct production and complete quality checks on the fabrication of reinforcing steel designs.

· Collect and analyze data and carry out computations.

· Estimate material costs and complete material take-offs for procurement purposes.

· Work in partnership with the Sales department to develop precast solutions from concept to design for various concrete precast products.

· Produce drawings and deliverables on a timely basis and ensure that they are in accordance with all codes and standards as provided.

· Maintain, revise, and update existing drawings reflecting design changes in collaboration with other departments and external third parties.
