About the role The technical department, consisting of a team of engineers and designers, works closely with the sales department and directly with customers to find the best solution for the customer.

When selling scaffolding systems, it is essential to present the possibilities of the system using customised solutions. The latest digital technologies are used to design scaffolding solutions in 3D and present them clearly to the customer.

The aim is to select the systems and products from Layher’s existing product portfolio that can be used to realise the customer’s requirements most efficiently.

Key responsibilities





- Development of efficient scaffolding solutions using the existing product portfolio, based on customer requirements and in compliance with local standards and regulations
- Static calculations
- Structural analysis using company software when required, including RSTAB / Robot
- Produce 3D scaffolding models and PDFs

About you

- Graduated Civil Engineer
- At least 3–5 years’ work experience with Layher scaffolding
- Must be able to work on-site full-time, five days a week, Monday to Friday
- Exceptionally valuable understanding of static calculations for steel structures or scaffolding
- Sound knowledge of AutoCAD and structural analysis software
- Passion for finding solutions
- Customer-focused with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Full Australian working rights

Salary AUD $95,000 per year + superannuation
