About Maple Community Services
Maple Community Services is an NDIS-registered disability service provider working toward equal standards of living for people of all abilities. We’re a fast-growing scale-up with a fresh, progressive culture where creativity and initiative are valued, and where you can grow with us.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced clinician to be our internal clinical subject matter expert. This is an advisory and governance role, not hands-on nursing or allied health care. You’ll provide clinical oversight, advice and risk guidance to help our teams deliver safe, high-quality supports, especially for participants with complex or high-risk needs.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll connect Service Delivery, Workforce and external health providers, turning clinical and regulatory requirements into practical, safe support plans.
What you’ll do
- Act as the go-to clinical expert and escalation point for complex and high-risk support scenarios
- Coordinate input from external nursing, allied health and medical providers, and set clear expectations for documentation and communication
- Review complex cases and advise on clinical risks and controls, balancing participant choice and control with safety
- Strengthen our clinical governance through incident reviews, risk assessments, audits and NDIS Practice Standards compliance
- Coach support workers and leaders on putting clinical advice into practice, and identify training needs from trends and incidents
- Keep accurate clinical notes for participant plan reviews and Capacity Building billing, working with our Finance team
- Report on clinical trends,
risks and outcomes to inform operational decisions
What you’ll bring
- Current, unrestricted AHPRA registration (e.g. Registered Nurse or relevant allied health profession)
- 3+ years’ experience in disability, aged care or complex care settings
- Solid understanding of clinical governance, incident management and NDIS regulatory frameworks
- Solid clinical judgement and the ability to explain risk clearly to non-clinical teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
Highly regarded
- Advisory, governance or quality experience with an NDIS-registered SIL provider
- Experience supporting participants with complex behavioural or health needs
- Familiarity with NDIS funding categories and billing of clinical input
Why join us
- Flexible hybrid or fully remote arrangement within NSW
- Real influence on clinical quality across a growing organisation
- A values-led team that leads by example, respects every individual and acts with integrity
