The opportunity The Cloud Engineer works with solution architects to design, implements, secure, automate and operate IMDEX enterprise cloud platforms across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS). This hands-on role supports secure, scalable, resilient and cost-effective cloud services across a complex global environment. The role partners with Architects, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Software Enablement, Data and business teams to strengthen cloud architecture, operational reliability, governance, automation and continual improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build and support secure, scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Develop and maintain cloud landing zones, governance controls and hybrid integrations with on-premises systems, identity services and enterprise applications.
- Monitor platform availability, performance and capacity; troubleshoot complex incidents and improve reliability, backup and recovery.
- Build repeatable cloud environments using Infrastructure as Code, automation and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, Azure DevOps and GitHub.
- Implement cloud security controls, including identity and access management, encryption, logging, vulnerability remediation and compliance reporting.
- Manage cloud governance,



resource lifecycle, consumption and costs, embedding effective FinOps practices.
- Produce clear technical documentation, standards, runbooks and architecture diagrams.
- Provide cloud engineering guidance, mentor colleagues and collaborate with global technical and business teams.
- Promote safe, compliant and accountable working practices while driving continual improvement across the cloud setting.

To be successful

- Demonstrated professional experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering or a closely related field.
- Advanced hands-on experience designing, implementing and operating both Microsoft Azure and AWS environments.
- Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise cloud platforms within a multinational or global organisation.
- Proven experience delivering cloud transformation, migration, modernisation or platform uplift initiatives.
- Current industry-recognised Azure and AWS certifications demonstrating advanced capability.
- Strong experience with cloud networking, identity and access management, security controls, monitoring, backup and recovery.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines and scripting using technologies such as Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, PowerShell, Python or Bash.




- Strong understanding of enterprise change, incident, problem, risk and service management practices.
- Explicit written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder engagement and technical documentation capability.
