A specialist electrical engineering business is looking to appoint an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a growing pipeline of high-voltage and power infrastructure projects, initially across South Australia.

This is a hands-on commissioning leadership role suited to someone with strong technical knowledge across HV systems, protection, secondary systems and electrical testing, who can take ownership of commissioning activities through testing, energisation and final handover.

The Role Working closely with project teams, clients and site personnel, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering commissioning activities across complex electrical infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities will include

- Lead site commissioning activities across HV and power infrastructure projects
- Coordinate commissioning across primary and secondary electrical systems
- Manage testing, energisation readiness and project handover
- Develop, review and implement commissioning plans, procedures and test documentation
- Coordinate FAT, SAT, functional testing and site acceptance activities
- Review test results, defects, punch lists and commissioning close-out documentation
- Manage commissioning sequencing and interfaces between different work packages
- Coordinate engineers, technicians, subcontractors and client representatives




- Troubleshoot technical issues throughout testing and commissioning
- Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with project, client and network requirements

About You You will ideally bring:
- Extensive experience within HV electrical testing and commissioning
- Strong knowledge of protection systems, secondary systems and associated testing
- Previous experience leading commissioning activities, teams or work fronts
- Experience across substations, transmission, utilities, renewable connections or major power infrastructure
- Strong understanding of commissioning documentation, test plans, ITPs/ITRs and handover requirements
- Practical experience with electrical test equipment, fault finding and commissioning methodologies
- Electrical Engineering qualifications or a strong electrical trade background with relevant commissioning experience
- Robust communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients, project teams and site personnel
- Current or previous South Australian network training / authorisations will be highly regarded
