About the role

Access4All Disability Services is seeking a friendly, confident and proactive female support worker to provide community access and assistance with daily living to a participant in Armadale.

The participant is looking for someone who communicates clearly, is well organised and can encourage her to remain active, leave the house and participate in meaningful activities. The successful applicant should be comfortable suggesting and planning activities rather than relying on the participant to decide what to do each time.

Support may include

- Encouraging and supporting community participation
- Planning social and recreational activities
- Going for walks, exercising and visiting local attractions
- Participating in craft and other interest-based activities
- Providing companionship, encouragement and motivation
- Supporting the participant to organise her weekly activities
- Assisting with light household tasks, such as folding washing and doing dishes together
- Transporting the participant safely in the community
- Promoting independence, confidence and wellbeing

About you We are looking for someone who:
- Is female, friendly, patient and dependable
- Has clear spoken English and strong communication skills
- Communicates in a way that is transparent and comfortable for the participant
- Is proactive and confident in suggesting suitable activities
- Has good organisational and time-management skills
- Can provide encouragement while respecting the participant’s choices




- Enjoys exercise, walking, craft and community outings
- Can work independently and use initiative
- Is available on Thursday mornings
- May also be available every second weekend
- Lives in Armadale or a nearby suburb

Essential requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- NDIS Worker Orientation and Infection Control Module certificates
- Working with Children Check where the role involves child-related work
- Current driver’s licence
- Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Right to work in Australia
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries and complete accurate support notes

Qualifications and experience Previous disability or community support experience is preferred. A Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability, nursing, social work or another relevant qualification would be highly regarded.

Pay: $33.00 – $47.00 per hour
