About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Environmental Maintenance Team Leader to take charge of an on-ground field team across the Southern Side of Brisbane -Logan and surrounds. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being outdoors and leading by example. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day supervision of a small crew carrying out activities such as native planting and weed control ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

You’ll work closely with Project Managers and Ecologists to bring restoration plans to life and deliver measurable ecological outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and work alongside a small team undertaking on-ground restoration and offset works.

- Carry out and oversee
- Native tree and shrub planting
- Weed control (chemical and manual methods)

- General maintenance
- Ensure all tasks are performed safely, on time, and to specification.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working order.
- Record field data and complete daily work reports.
- Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding progress, issues, and site conditions.
- Promote a positive and safe team culture.

About You

You’re a practical,



reliable leader who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and takes pride in achieving high-quality environmental outcomes. You’re organised, safety-focused, and comfortable managing a small crew in the field.

Essential Skills and Experience

- Proven experience leading or supervising field staff in environmental restoration, bush regeneration, or land management.
- Strong knowledge of native vegetation, weed species, and control techniques.
- Competent in the secure use of herbicides and small plant/equipment (brush cutters, chainsaws, pumps, sprayers, etc.).
- Current manual driver’s licence
- White Card and Chemical Accreditation (ACDC or equivalent).
- Understanding of workplace health and safety practices.

Desirable

- First Aid Certificate.
- Experience working on environmental offset projects.
