Contract Administrator - Short Term Contract THE OPPORTUNITY

Hansen Yuncken is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator for a short-term contract position supporting a significant Defence project at Osborne, South Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded construction professional to join our team and contribute to the delivery of a major project within a complex and highly regulated environment.

Based on site at Osborne, this contract is expected to be approximately 3 - 5 months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare, review and submit client variations, including supporting documentation, cost breakdowns and contractual substantiation.
- Manage subcontractor variations, including assessment, negotiation and agreement of costs.
- Review subcontractor variation claims against contractual obligations, scope and supporting evidence.
- Prepare and submit variation claims to the client, ensuring timely submission and follow-up.
- Track and maintain variation registers, including status, approvals, costs and outstanding claims.

ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Proven experience as a Contract Administrator within the commercial construction industry.
- Strong experience managing subcontractor variations, claims and payment recommendations.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or reputable commercial building contractor.
- Robust commercial acumen, attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to work autonomously and contribute effectively within a busy project team.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.




- The flexibility to commit to a short-term contract based at Osborne.

DEFENCE ELIGIBILITY Applicants must be Australian citizens or citizens of a Five Eyes (FVEY) member country - Australia, United Kingdom, United States, Canada or New Zealand, to meet the project's security clearance eligibility requirements.
