? We’re Hiring: Senior Cyber Security Analyst

? Contract Duration: 12 Months

QIX Consulting Group is seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join a large-scale enterprise environment on a 12-month contract based in Sydney.

This opportunity is ideal for a cyber security professional with strong expertise in vulnerability management, security posture assessments, risk remediation and security governance, who enjoys working collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders to strengthen enterprise security.

? Key Responsibilities

- Conduct vulnerability assessments, security posture reviews and compliance monitoring across enterprise environments.
- Identify, assess and prioritise security vulnerabilities based on business risk and potential impact.
- Support vulnerability remediation activities and work closely with infrastructure, security and application teams.
- Provide expertise in secure configuration standards, system hardening and security control effectiveness.
- Support cyber security audits, risk assessments, compliance reviews and control assurance activities.
- Develop and maintain security reporting, risk dashboards, metrics and actionable insights.
- Drive continuous improvement across vulnerability management, security posture and cyber risk management processes.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to strengthen security governance and reduce organisational cyber risk.

✅ Mandatory Skills & Experience

- Strong experience in Cyber Security Analysis, Vulnerability Management and Security Risk Assessment within enterprise environments.




- Hands-on experience conducting vulnerability assessments, identifying security gaps and coordinating remediation activities.
- Sound knowledge of security posture management, system hardening and secure configuration standards.
- Experience with cyber security governance, risk management, compliance monitoring and security control assessments.
- Ability to analyse security risks, prioritise vulnerabilities and communicate remediation recommendations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical, documentation and reporting skills.

⭐ Highly Regarded / Nice to Have

- Experience with Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel or equivalent enterprise security platforms.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC or equivalent.
- Tertiary qualifications in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Exposure to enterprise security frameworks, control assurance and continuous security improvement initiatives.
