About the role

Calming Waves Support Services is looking for a Support Worker to join our growing team. You will provide support to participants with varying and sometimes complex needs, building genuine connections and supporting people through their daily lives. Our supports can include community access, daily living, social activities, skill development, individual supports, group programs, holiday programs and adventures.

Key responsibilities

- Provide reliable and punctual support across weekdays, weekends and public holidays

- Build genuine, qualified relationships with participants and their families

- Support people with varying and sometimes complex needs

- Honour commitments to regular or rostered shifts

- Communicate early and honestly if circumstances change

- Work proactively and use initiative rather than needing constant direction

- Bring patience, humour, compassion and a positive attitude to work

About you





- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

- Working with Children Check

- First Aid & CPR

- Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle

- Appropriate vehicle insurance

- NDIS Worker Orientation Module

- Ability to meet relevant employment and compliance requirements

- Experience in disability support is highly regarded

- Reliable and punctual

- Provides genuine and accurate availability
