WE'RE HIRING ?Executive Career & Interview CoachRemote | Australia | Career Confidence Co
You've interviewed everyone from Marketing Managers to CEOs.
You've hired senior leaders, built teams and spent years figuring out what separates a good candidate from the person who actually gets the offer.
And I bet you've sat through more interviews than you can count thinking...
“You're seriously underselling yourself.”
“Why are you telling me what you were responsible for instead of what you actually achieved?”
“You have an incredible career. Why the hell aren't you talking about it like that?”
“Give me five minutes with you and I could completely change how you're selling yourself.”
If you've had those thoughts sitting on the other side of the interview table,
I WANT TO TALK TO YOU.
We're growing the coaching team at Career Confidence Co, and we're looking for someone with serious recruitment experience who knows exactly what makes someone stand out, what makes hiring managers switch off and what it actually takes to get hired.
You might already be a career coach.
Or you might be an experienced recruiter, executive search consultant or talent acquisition leader who's never officially called themselves a coach.
Either way, if you know your shit when it comes to hiring, keep reading.
FIRST, YOU NEED TO HAVE BEEN ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE TABLE.
And I mean properly.
You've spent years interviewing, assessing and hiring professionals across different industries, functions and seniority levels.
From Marketing Managers and Heads of Department through to General Managers, Executives and the C-suite.
You know what a brilliant interview sounds like.
You know when someone is waffling, overexplaining or completely missing the question.
You know when someone has an incredible track record but absolutely no idea how to communicate their value.
You can spot the difference between someone who sounds impressive and someone who's actually demonstrating the commercial impact they've had.
And most importantly, you know how to fix it.
You don't need to have a career coaching qualification.
What you do need is genuine, hands-on recruitment experience, solid commercial judgement and the ability to turn that expertise into advice that changes how someone shows up.
SO, WHAT WILL YOU ACTUALLY BE DOING?Initially, your focus will be executive interview coaching.
And no, we're not talking about running through ten generic interview questions and telling someone to use the STAR method.
We're talking about getting under the skin of someone's experience, understanding the role they're interviewing for and making sure they can sell the absolute hell out of what they bring to the table.
You'll work with ambitious, experienced women who are preparing for everything from recruiter conversations to executive panels and final-stage C-suite interviews.
You'll be helping our clients:
- Stop underselling themselves and start owning their experience.
- Turn years of achievements into powerful, commercially relevant interview answers.
- Articulate their leadership impact, strategic thinking and business results.
- Understand what hiring managers are really assessing.
- Prepare for complex behavioural, competency-based, strategic and executive-level interview questions.
- Navigate challenging questions around redundancies, career pivots, salary expectations and gaps.
- Improve their executive presence, confidence and communication.
- Walk into interviews knowing exactly why they're the right person for the job.
You'll conduct realistic mock interviews, provide specific and sometimes uncomfortable feedback, challenge weak answers and help clients make immediate improvements.
Because being brilliant at your job and being brilliant at interviewing are two very different things.
And our job is to close that gap.
BUT THIS ROLE IS BIGGER THAN INTERVIEW PREP.Here's where it gets exciting.
As you settle into the business, learn our methodology and demonstrate strong client outcomes, you'll have the opportunity to expand into broader executive career coaching.
We're talking about helping our clients navigate the entire career transition, not just the interview.
You'll develop your skills in:
- Career clarity and identifying the right next move.
- Executive positioning and personal branding.
- Strategic job searching and accessing the hidden job market.
- Networking, visibility and building professional relationships.
- Helping women navigate redundancy, career changes and confidence setbacks.
- Keeping clients accountable, focused and moving forward.
- Supporting clients to secure opportunities that reflect their true capability and earning potential.
We'll teach you our frameworks, methodologies and the way we coach at Career Confidence Co.
What we can't teach you overnight is years of recruitment experience and the instinct that comes from interviewing hundreds of senior professionals.
That's the expertise we want you to bring.
YOU'RE OUR PERSON IF...✅ You've got significant, hands-on experience in recruitment, executive search or talent acquisition.
✅ You've personally interviewed and hired across multiple functions and seniority levels, including senior leadership and C-suite.
✅ You understand what hiring managers want and why some candidates consistently outperform others.
✅ You can listen to an interview answer and immediately spot what's missing, what's irrelevant and what needs to change.
✅ You're commercially sharp and understand how to translate someone's experience into genuine business value.
✅ You're confident working with senior professionals and aren't intimidated by big job titles.
✅ You're warm, empathetic and encouraging, but you're not afraid to challenge people and give honest feedback.
✅ You're an excellent communicator who can adapt your approach to different personalities.
✅ You're organised, proactive, comfortable working remotely and take ownership of your clients' experience.
✅ You genuinely get a kick out of watching someone have that lightbulb moment when they finally realise how bloody good they are.
AND YOU'RE PROBABLY NOT OUR PERSON IF...❌ Your recruitment experience has primarily been junior or high-volume hiring.
❌ You've worked around recruitment but haven't personally interviewed and assessed senior-level candidates.
❌ Your idea of interview coaching is handing someone a list of questions and telling them to practise.
❌ You avoid difficult conversations or struggle to give direct feedback.
❌ You need a rigid script to have a meaningful coaching conversation.
❌ You believe telling someone they're amazing is the same as helping them improve.
Our clients don't need another cheerleader.
They need someone who can see what they can't see, tell them what they need to hear and help them get hired.
A LITTLE ABOUT US ?I'm Ash, founder of Career Confidence Co.
We work with ambitious, experienced women who are ready to make serious career moves.
Our clients are typically earning $150k–$250k+ and are navigating everything from redundancy and career transitions to promotions, executive opportunities and significant salary increases.
Some are already incredibly successful but have lost the confidence to articulate what they're worth.
Others have spent months applying for jobs, interviewing and getting nowhere.
And some simply know they're capable of so much more but need the strategy, support and accountability to make it happen.
We've helped women turn lengthy, frustrating job searches into offers, negotiate $30k–$70k salary increases and land roles they previously didn't think were possible.
We're not here to hand out generic career advice and motivational quotes.
We're here to help women make life-changing career moves.
We're a fast-growing business with big ambitions, high standards and a team that genuinely gives a damn.
