City Venue Management (CVM) has been appointed to manage a number of aquatic and leisure facilities across the City of Gold Coast, and we’re currently recruiting for multiple leadership opportunities across our new venues.

We’re looking for experienced, hands-on leaders who are passionate about people, operations, safety and delivering great customer experiences.

Current opportunities include

• Facility Manager

• Operations & Safety Manager The Facility Manager will take overall responsibility for the leadership, performance and day-to-day operation of the venue. This role leads the broader site team across Operations, Customer Experience, Health Club, Swim School and aquatic programs, while also driving commercial, customer and community outcomes.

Key responsibilities may include:

- Leading and developing the venue leadership team and broader workforce
- Managing operational and financial performance, including budgets and reporting
- Driving participation, sales and commercial performance
- Creating a positive, accountable and high-performing team culture
- Ensuring the venue meets safety, compliance and presentation standards
- Building strong relationships with customers, stakeholders and the local community The Operations & Safety Manager plays a key role in ensuring the venue operates safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standard. Working closely with the Facility Manager, this role leads lifeguards and duty managers and oversees aquatic safety and supervision requirements.

Key responsibilities may include:

- Leading lifeguards and duty managers
- Overseeing aquatic supervision and lifeguard deployment
- Implementing safety procedures, risk assessments and corrective actions
- Coordinating emergency drills, inductions and refresher training
- Supporting pool plant operations and facility presentation
- Managing operational rosters and staffing requirements
- Stepping up to lead the venue in the Facility Manager’s absence

About You





Depending on the role, you may bring:

- Leadership experience within aquatic, leisure, recreation, fitness, hospitality or another customer-focused environment
- Strong people leadership and team development skills
- Experience managing operational performance, safety and compliance
- A strong understanding of aquatic supervision, lifeguarding or pool operations
- Commercial and financial management experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A customer-first mindset and pride in delivering high venue standards
- The ability to make decisions, solve problems and lead from the front

Aquatic qualifications including Blue Card, CPR, First Aid, Pool Lifeguard and Pool Plant qualifications will be required or highly regarded depending on the position.
