We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and versatile Front of House Team Members who take pride in delivering professional customer service and supporting smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Service & Hospitality

- Welcome and greet guests warmly and professionally.
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
- Explain menu items, daily specials, dry-aged seafood selections, and our signature Sauce Trio experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate special requests to the kitchen.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly with proper presentation and service etiquette.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints, escalating issues to management when necessary.
- Maintain a friendly, attentive, and professional attitude at all times.

1. Restaurant Operations & Table Service

- Prepare and maintain dining tables according to restaurant presentation standards.
- Perform table clearing, cleaning, resetting, and general dining area maintenance.
- Maintain appropriate service timing and coordination with the kitchen.
- Assist with reservations, seating arrangements, and walk-in guests in accordance with management instructions.
- Ensure water, condiments, cutlery, glassware, and service stations are replenished.
- Support takeaway and collection orders where required.
- Assist other FOH team members during busy service periods.

1. POS, Payments & Order Handling

- Operate the Square POS system accurately for orders and transactions.
- Process cash, EFTPOS,



and other accepted payment methods.
- Ensure accurate billing, payment collection, and transaction handling.
- Follow management procedures for discounts, refunds, cancellations, and void transactions.
- Maintain proper cash-handling standards and promptly report discrepancies.

1. Opening & Closing Duties

- Complete daily restaurant setup, including tables, chairs, glassware, water bottles, condiments, and service stations.
- Prepare Sauce Trio and Teishoku service settings according to reservations and expected covers.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, entrance, bar, restrooms, and guest-facing areas.
- Clean and maintain glassware, service equipment, and designated workstations.
- Complete end-of-service cleaning, table resetting, sweeping, mopping, and closing checklists.
- Assist with seafood display fridge organisation, fish pack labelling, and other designated operational tasks.
- Ensure all assigned duties are completed before clocking out.

1. Food Safety, Hygiene & Compliance

- Follow restaurant food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Understand common food allergies and dietary requirements, including gluten-free requests.
- Communicate dietary restrictions accurately to kitchen staff and management.
- Follow safe food-handling procedures when assisting with seafood products.
- Comply with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) requirements when serving alcoholic beverages.
- Maintain clean personal presentation and comply with workplace health and safety procedures.

Skills & Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or hospitality workplace is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A customer-focused approach with excellent service etiquette.




- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced dining environment.
- Basic knowledge of Japanese cuisine and seafood is advantageous.
- Ability and willingness to learn menu details and make suitable recommendations.
- Comfortable using POS systems and handling customer payments.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and support different FOH responsibilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and available for evening and weekend shifts.
- Valid Victorian RSA certification where required for alcohol service.

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
