The Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO and forming an important part of the Australian Executive Committee, the GM Foodservice will lead and integrate the Foodservice functions across Mainland Dairy and Lactalis Australia.

Based in Melbourne, this is an end-to-end business leadership role with direct accountability for Sales and Marketing and responsibility for driving route-to-market, Operations, Supply Chain and other functions to deliver great outcomes for the Foodservice business and its customers.

Operating with a CEO mindset, the GM Foodservice will bring the two businesses together, build a high-performing combined Foodservice function and unlock the full value of their collective brands, capabilities and customer relationships. The role will set the strategy and deliver profitable growth through solid customer and distributor partnerships, effective route-to-market execution and aligned delivery across the full value chain.

As a senior commercial leader with extensive experience in Foodservice and/or FMCG,

your key responsibilities will include:

- Bringing together the Mainland Dairy and Lactalis Australia Foodservice functions to build one integrated, high-performing team with clear accountabilities, governance and ways of working.
- Defining and delivering the combined Foodservice strategy, integration roadmap and operating model, while identifying and realising synergies across customers, channels, brands and capabilities.
- Driving profitable growth, margin management, pricing and trade investment effectiveness.
- Building and strengthening customer partnerships across Foodservice accounts and channels.
- Building the capability, culture and performance of the combined team, retaining critical expertise and creating shared purpose through change.
- Maintaining commercial momentum and customer focus through the transition while building the future Foodservice function.
- Setting clear end-to-end priorities and driving Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions to deliver the service, cost, capacity and innovation outcomes required for the Foodservice channel.
- Owning the overall performance of the Foodservice channel and balancing growth, margin, customer, operational and supply priorities to deliver sustainable business outcomes.

About You

You’ll be a strategic, commercially focused business leader who is energised by the opportunity to build something new.

More than a Sales and Marketing leader, you will bring an enterprise-wide perspective and the ability to lead the Foodservice channel as an end-to-end business.

You will combine a customer-first and growth mindset with the leadership capability to bring teams together, shape a new operating model, influence priorities across Operations and Supply Chain and convert integration opportunities into measurable business outcomes.

To succeed in this role, you’ll ideally bring:

- Demonstrated experience leading significant business transformation, including integrating teams, shaping operating models and building organisational capability while maintaining commercial performance.
- An ability to execute strategy, turning ideas and plans into profit and measurable outcomes for customers
- Experience operating through route-to-market models, including distributors with clear governance and controls.
- A strong track record of leading and developing high-performing commercial teams through change.
- Enterprise-level leadership and influence, with the commercial breadth to align Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance around clear priorities, trade-offs and outcomes.
- Deep Foodservice and/or FMCG experience, with strong customer, channel and route-to-market expertise.

What We Offer

- Competitive pay and benefits
- Career development and internal opportunities across a global business
- The prospect to shape and lead a newly combined Foodservice function with significant commercial impact
- A strong commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability
- Flexible work arrangements where possible

Please note that applicants must have full working rights for Australia to be considered.
