The Brisbane Lions are seeking an experienced commercial leader to join the Club in the newly created Head of Commercial role. With a passionate supporter base, a growing corporate network and strong momentum on and off the field, the role will play a key part expanding the Club's revenue portfolio and taking commercial program s into its next stage of growth.

Reporting to the General Manager - Customer & Commercial, this role will set commercial strategy, own all budgets, lead a team of four managers, and serve as the Club's senior commercial contact.

This is a strategy, leadership and business growth role focused on shaping commercial direction, securing major opportunities and enabling the team to deliver premium partner, client and stakeholder experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

- Lead the full sponsorship program, including strategy, partner servicing, renewals and new business
- Grow premium hospitality and coterie experiences, client retention, renewals and new business
- Establish and grow the Club's business network - Lions Connect - into a recognised commercial program
- Oversee day-to-day giving and general fundraising through the Commercial Sales & Foundation Manager
- Own all commercial P&Ls;, budgets, forecasts, margins and performance reporting
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing, collaborative Commercial team
- Build trusted senior relationships with the AFL, partners, corporate clients, donors and Stadiums Queensland

What We're Looking For:
- Extensive experience in commercial, sponsorship, partnership or B2B sales leadership roles




- Demonstrated success delivering revenue growth and securing significant new business opportunities
- Experience managing commercial budgets, forecasts and P&Ls;
- Solid commercial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes
- Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, development and performance management
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated success operating in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
- Strong written communication and computer literacy skills
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Sport Management or a related discipline
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, match days and interstate travel as required
- Experience within the sport, entertainment or major events industry highly regarded
- Knowledge of the AFL industry highly regarded
- Experience establishing or growing a business network, membership or corporate engagement program highly regarded
