As we continue to scale, we are seeking an experienced and commercially experienced Head of Projects to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and take executive ownership of Interpod’s combined Projects and Design function.

This is a leadership position within the business. The Head of Projects is responsible for ensuring projects are set up correctly from the beginning, with strong alignment between client requirements, design, commercial commitments, manufacturing capability and project delivery.

Just as importantly, you will be the final point of escalation for our customers. You will lead issue management and dispute resolution across the portfolio, resolving client matters fairly and decisively so they do not need to escalate further, and you will be accountable for customer satisfaction.

Reporting to the General Manager and working with the broader SLT, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the full project lifecycle — from project handover and design development through to delivery and close-out.

You will also work closely with Sales, Operations, Quality and Production to ensure projects move through the business with clarity, accountability and strong cross-functional alignment.

The Role

As Head of Projects, you will have executive accountability for the performance of both the Projects and Design teams, ensuring the two functions operate as one aligned unit.

You will oversee the project portfolio while ensuring design outcomes are practical, coordinated, and executed on time whilst meeting commercial expectations.

A key focus of the role is strengthening the connection between the front end of the business and execution. You will work closely with Sales during project handover, Operations and Production around buildability and delivery, and Quality to ensure requirements and standards are embedded from the outset.

Day to day, you will keep the Projects team moving and unblocked, maintain high-level oversight of every project to ensure it stays on track, and balance production allocation across customers with our Production team so every client's programme is met.

As a member of the SLT, you will also contribute beyond your functional area, participating in business planning, strategic decision-making, organisational priorities and leadership initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

- Provide executive leadership and strategic direction across the combined Projects and Design function.
- Act as an active member of Interpod’s Senior Leadership Team, contributing to business strategy, priorities and key organisational decisions.
- Take overall accountability for the performance of Interpod’s project portfolio, including programme, commercial, design, quality, safety and client outcomes, with high-level oversight to ensure every project stays on track.
- Act as the final point of escalation for customers, with client matters resolved at Head of Projects level without escalating further (other than matters beyond delegated authority).
- Own the client issue management process, ensuring every client-related issue is logged, owned, actioned and closed out.
- Lead dispute resolution, including contested variations, delay claims, back-charges and defect matters, reaching fair and practical outcomes while protecting Interpod’s contractual position.
- Take accountability for customer happiness and satisfaction across the portfolio.
- Lead and develop both the Projects and Design teams, creating clear accountability, strong communication and alignment between the two functions.
- Keep the Projects team moving and unblocked by removing obstacles and making timely decisions.




- Ensure projects are properly transitioned from Sales into Projects and Design with transparent scope, commercial parameters, client requirements and delivery expectations.
- Oversee the front-end project process to ensure projects are commercially viable, buildable and appropriately de-risked before progressing into manufacture.
- Through the Design & Engineering Manager, hold ultimate accountability for design quality, engineering, R&D; and innovation, ensuring designs are accurate, compliant, commercially considered and suitable for efficient production and installation.
- Establish strong project and design governance, reporting, controls and accountability across the portfolio.
- Maintain commercial integrity across projects, including contract positioning, variations, claims, risk exposure, margin protection and financial performance.
- Drive early identification and resolution of design, commercial and delivery risks, ensuring all risks are mitigated.
- Build strong senior-level relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Work closely with Operations and Production to ensure design and project decisions support manufacturing efficiency, programme delivery and operational capability.
- Own high-level allocation of production slots across customers, agreeing the master production sequence with Production so output is balanced and every customer’s programme is met.
- Partner with Quality to ensure project requirements, specifications, compliance obligations and lessons learned are embedded throughout design and delivery.
- Partner with Sales to ensure commitments made during the sales and tender process are clearly understood, achievable and successfully transitioned into delivery.
- Lead, mentor and develop high-performing Project and Design teams with clear accountability and succession capability.
- Drive continuous improvement across project systems, design processes, governance and delivery methodologies.

About You You will be an experienced senior leader with a strong track record across construction, project delivery, design management or a comparable complex delivery environment.

Importantly, you will bring more than technical project management capability. You will have the commercial judgement, leadership maturity and strategic mindset required to operate as part of an executive leadership team while bringing together both project and design disciplines.

You will ideally bring

- Senior leadership experience within construction, manufacturing, modular construction, project management or major project delivery.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex project portfolios and multidisciplinary teams.
- A proven track record in issue management, dispute resolution and negotiating fair outcomes with senior client stakeholders.
- Experience overseeing or working closely with design, engineering or design management functions, including R&D; and innovation.
- Strong commercial acumen, including contract management, negotiations, risk mitigation, margin protection and project financial performance.
- Strong understanding of design development, coordination, constructability and project execution.
- Experience creating alignment between client requirements, design outcomes and operational delivery.
- Strong understanding of project governance, reporting, forecasting and performance management.
- The ability to assess commercial,



design and delivery risk at both individual project and portfolio level.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with senior clients and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership capability with experience building accountable, high-performing teams.
- Executive-level communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with decisive action.
- A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to challenge how things are done.
