HR Truck Driver – Part-Time | Pakenham, VIC

Immediate Start | Thursdays & Fridays | $350 Per Day

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and responsible Heavy Rigid (HR) Truck Driver to join our team at a manufacturing business based in Pakenham.

This is a great opportunity for a driver looking for regular part-time work, currently 2 days per week (Thursdays and Fridays), with an immediate start available and opportunities for future growth as the business expands.

What We Offer

- $350 per day for up to 10 hours of work
- Regular work on Thursdays and Fridays
- 6:00 am start time
- Company truck and fuel card provided
- Currently averaging half-day shifts, with approximately one run per day
- Workload expected to increase to full days as the business grows

The Role The position involves wholesale and retail deliveries and pickups throughout Melbourne and surrounding areas, with runs extending:
- Out to Geelong
- Up to Truganina
- Down to Rosebud

Deliveries and pickups will include both wholesale and retail customers. Retail deliveries require manual unloading, so applicants must be comfortable with physical work and handling goods. The truck is fitted with a tailgate lifter, which must be operated safely and correctly at all times. Previous experience using a tailgate lifter is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities





- Safely operate the company truck and complete scheduled deliveries and pickups
- Carry out wholesale and retail deliveries across the designated service areas
- Manually unload goods for retail deliveries
- Safely and correctly operate the truck's tailgate lifter
- Maintain accurate records and delivery paperwork
- Conduct and record temperature checks as required
- Obtain customer signatures upon receipt of goods
- Keep the truck clean, tidy and well maintained
- Follow all relevant safety, handling and transport procedures

Requirements
- Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence – essential
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude
- Valuable attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
- Ability to complete manual unloading and physical duties
- Ability to operate equipment safely and follow procedures
- Good customer service and communication skills
- Commitment to maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety standards

Future Opportunities The role currently averages half-day shifts, with one run per day. As the business continues to grow, the workload is expected to increase to full-day shifts, offering the right candidate the opportunity to grow with the business and take on more hours.
